Coaching Team

Dan Fitzpatrick

Dan is our head coach, and self-proclaimed king of the trails, at least in his own mind, hailing from the quaint town of Newark, DE.

His love for mountain biking began when he was just a wee lad, riding his trusty Trek bike with gusto around town. His passion only grew stronger as he got older and discovered the joy of off-road cycling, riding the rugged terrain of nearby parks and preserves on his trusty two-wheeled steed.

After years of honing his skills, Dan decided to share his love of mountain biking with the world by becoming a coach. And boy, does he take his job seriously. He spends countless hours pouring over training plans and dreaming up ways to victory.

But don't let his intense focus fool you - Dan knows how to have a good time. When he's not on the trails, you can find him cracking dad jokes. His favorite? "Why did the bike fall over? Because it was two-tired!" Well, we didn't say they were good jokes.

But it's not just mountain biking that captivates Dan's heart - he's also a devoted fan of the scenic beauty that is Dewey Beach. A popular summertime destination for his family, Dan relishes long walks on the beach, breathing in the salty sea air and taking in picturesque vistas of the Atlantic Ocean.

Despite his busy coaching schedule, Dan always finds time to reconnect with nature and indulge in his beloved outdoor activities. Whether it's tearing up the trails on his bike, lounging on the beach with his family, or simply basking in the natural beauty of his surroundings, Dan's appreciation for the outdoors is a cornerstone of his life.

Igor Oreper

Meet Igor, always on the move, both on and off the bike! As an avid cyclist and Trail Spinners board member, he's got a passion for hitting the trails that's second to none.

But biking isn't just a hobby for Igor - it's a way of life. When he's not out tearing up the singletrack, he's busy coaching the mountain biking team to victory, or improving the local trails, and as a proud dad of two amazing teenage kids, he knows a thing or two about motivating and inspiring young riders.

When he's not busy coaching or spending time with his family, you'll often find Igor tinkering with the latest video streaming tech. Whether it's building a new app or working on bikes, he's always up for a challenge.

So if you're looking for a coach who's equal parts skilled and tech-savvy, look no further. With his infectious energy and love of all things biking and tech, he's sure to help you reach new heights on the trails and in the digital world!

Scotty Roberts

Popping wheelies and jumping over friends at age 6, it’s no wonder Scotty ended up with a career centered on cycling. An ice hockey injury in his early 20s led to him turning back to bikes to stay fit, and before you knew it, he caught the mountain biking bug and was volunteering to organize and promote local events. He then spent three years as the co-race director and social media manager for Circus Bear Productions, producing the three highest attended races in the Mid-Atlantic Super Series. He’s been coaching with us since 2019. When he’s not racing mountain bikes, cyclocross, or annoying his 14-year old daughter, he works part-time for Trek.
